Ashby School’s performance of Les Misérables

Owen Productions was proud to provide lighting production for Ashby School’s performance of Les Misérables, delivering a design that supported both the narrative and emotional depth of the show. The brief was to create a dynamic and adaptable lighting setup capable of enhancing a wide range of scenes, from intimate character moments to large-scale ensemble performances.

Working closely with the production team, we designed and implemented a lighting system that complemented the staging and direction of the performance. Careful attention was given to colour, intensity, and positioning to help define mood, highlight key moments, and ensure performers were consistently well-lit throughout the show.

The setup was built with flexibility in mind, allowing smooth transitions between scenes and quick adjustments during rehearsals. This ensured the lighting could evolve alongside the production, supporting both technical requirements and creative decisions as the show developed.
